ALL ORDINARIES finishes higher Thursday: 8 ASX shares you missed

Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO)(ASX: XJO) and ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) indices finished higher on Thursday.

Here’s a short recap of the Australian market:

  • S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO) (ASX: XJO) higher 0.21% to 7,103.20
  • ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) higher 0.27% to 7,204.60
  • AUD/USD at US 67 cents
  • Gold at US$1,575.13 an ounce
  • Brent Oil at US$55.67 a barrel

One of the best-performing ASX 200 shares today was appliance business Breville Group Ltd (ASX: BRG), its FY20 half-year result sent the share price up 27.6%.

The TPG Telecom Ltd (ASX: TPM) share price jumped 11.5% after the telco won its appeal to merge with Vodafone Australia.

Rare earth miner Lynas Corporation Ltd (ASX: LYC) saw its share price rise by 8% after issuing a statement about online speculation in Malaysia.

Property business Goodman Group (ASX: GMG) reported its half-year result today, its share price rose 5.8% in response.

Winemaker Treasury Wine Estates Ltd (ASX: TWE) saw its share price fall after the company reported its result yesterday after the market had closed.

The Telstra Corporation Ltd (ASX: TLS) share price fell 1.6% after reporting its half-year result which saw profit drop.

Synlait Milk Ltd (ASX: SM1) saw its share price sour by 18% after giving a profit warning today.

The share price of National Australia Bank Ltd (ASX: NAB) rose 1.4% after delivering slight growth in its first quarter report.
