With so many companies offering fogging services, it can sometimes feel a little confusing and overwhelming. Here you will find the answers to the questions we are frequently asked. One of the most important questions would be the chemical which is used. We at Newton Facilities Group use a product called Zoono, which we love! See below for further information, or if you still have questions, please use our contact us form and we’ll get back to you within 2 hours.
How does Zoono work?
Zoono forms an antibacterial shield that bonds to surfaces, providing a residual antibacterial layer, designed to continue working for extended periods of time. It is pivotal surfaces are cleaned prior to fogging in order for the chemical to bond correctly.
Zoono is designed to leave behind a mono-molecular layer that permanently bonds to the surface forming a barrier of positively charged microscopic pins. These pins attract and pierce negatively charged pathogens. The pins then rupture the cell wall which causes the pathogen to break up with lethal effect. This has proven results with several big name companies reporting covid prevention.
Routine cleaning does not disrupt the Zoono molecule or its antimicrobial activity.
Where to use Zoono?
Zoono is great for any environment where germs are present and likely to pose a threat. Zoono is currently successfully used on transport systems, buildings, vehicles, schools, hospitals, homes where there is risk of infection. With regular disinfection products, surfaces can become re-contaminated to the same levels as before disinfection within 1 – 2 hours. This is why Zoono has been developed to provide that lasting protection alongside your existing cleaning regime.
What is the process if I have a confirmed Covid-19 case?
In the event of a confirmed Covid-19 case at your premises, we will ensure our operatives have the full PPE. On arrival we will assess the areas and begin a manual deep clean of all surfaces. Once this has been carried out, we will treat the whole premises with the antiviral chemical, offering that lasting protection. We will always do our best to get to you on the same day to carry out the specialist cleaning and get your business back up and running.
After the antiviral fogging has taken place, how long do I have to wait until I re-enter the treated space?
As Zoono is water-based, people can re-enter treated areas after 10 minutes of fogging/spraying.
Is Zoono dangerous to humans?
Whilst the technology is designed to be completely gentle for humans, Zoono Z-71 is deadly for a wide range of bacteria, viruses and fungi. It has been rated “food safe” around the world and less toxic to humans than Vitamin C.
Is fogging a replacement of regular daily cleaning?
No. We recommend you maintain a regular office cleaning schedule. The Zoono chemical actually continues to work better if the surfaces are cleaned regularly.
Can you provide risk assessments and COSHH data sheets?
Yes. We will provide you with a tailored risk assessment and the COSHH data sheet for Zoono Z-71. All work is fully insured.
